Prime Minister’s Tribute at Bangabandhu’s Tomb

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid her respects at the mausoleum of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj. He paid tribute at 11:55 pm. At that time the new cabinet members were also present there.

Earlier, the head of government left for Tungipara by road from Ganabhavan at around 9 am on Saturday. He reached Tungipara around 11:30 pm. This is the Prime Minister’s first visit after forming the government.

Sheikh Hasina will exchange greetings with the leaders and workers of Tungipara Upazila Awami League this afternoon. Local leaders and workers are happy around the Prime Minister’s visit.

Gopalganj District Awami League General Secretary GM Sahab Uddin Azam said, ‘If Bangabandhu’s daughter takes charge of Bangladesh, the country will move forward.’

Deputy Commissioner Kazi Mahbubul Alam said that all preparations have been completed to make the Prime Minister’s visit smooth. He said, ‘We have completed proper preparations in coordination with all concerned including the law and order forces to make the Prime Minister’s visit festive and safe.’

The Prime Minister will return to Dhaka by road after exchanging greetings with the leaders and workers of Kotalipara Upazila on Sunday.
