In Mymensingh’s Nandale, there was a police chase with BNP activists. At least 20 people, including the police, were injured when the police fired tearshells and rubber bullets.
At around 11:30 am on Thursday, when the BNP leaders and workers were marching on the Mymensingh-Kishorganj road in support of the blockade, they were stopped by the police at the bus stand area of Nandail Shrine. At one stage, the chase, throwing bricks and stones started.
Police fired tearshells and rubber bullets to bring the situation under control. 20 people including two policemen were injured. Police dispersed BNP leaders and workers.
The police said that the situation is currently under control.
