Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Advocate Anisul Haque, the Awami League nominated candidate for Brahmanbaria-4 (Kasba and Akhaura) constituency in the 12th National Assembly elections, has commented on the non-cooperation movement of BNP as a movement for peace of mind of the party’s leaders.
This candidate of the boat symbol said, ‘BNP’s non-cooperation movement is for their peace of mind, people do not support them. During East Pakistan, Bangabandhu called for non-cooperation movement with the votes and support of 75 million people of the country. Now BNP has taken the traditional non-cooperation movement to a ridiculous situation by calling for non-cooperation movement. People don’t support them.’
The minister said this during an election campaign at Sonargaon Madrasa ground of Khadera Union of Kasba Upazila of Brahmanbaria on Thursday afternoon.
Anisul Haque said, ‘BNP started terror when the election came. Fire terror in 2014 and nomination terror in 2018. And now the terror of cutting railway lines and killing people has started. They are trying to disrupt the elections. BNP instead of going to the people for the vote, took the looted money and quarreled with the foreigners.’
Kasba Upazila Chairman Advocate Rashedul Kausar Bhuiyan Jiban, Kasba Municipal Mayor Golam Haqqani, Upazila Awami League Vice President Kazi Azharul Islam and other party leaders were present.
