Earlier, when he reached Ramgarh at 11 o’clock on Tuesday, he was welcomed by Bangladesh Land Port Authority member (traffic) Mohammad Jahangir Kabir, Bangladesh Land Port Authority member and Ramgarh Land Port Project Director Sarwar Alam, Shipping Ministry Joint Secretary Moniruzzaman, Ramgarh 43 BGB captain Lt. Colonel Syed Imam Hossain, Khagrachari Police Superintendent Muktadhar and Ramgarh Upazila Executive Officer Mamata Afrin and others.

Later Deputy High Commissioner of India. Vinay held an exchange meeting in the office room of Ramgarh International Passenger Terminal Building.

After the meeting, he inspected the India-Bangladesh friendship bridge and port infrastructure construction on Feni river. Shelni Sai and Phatik D Nag, First Secretary of the High Commission, were with him at that time.

Bangladesh Land Port Authority member and Ramgarh Land Port Project Director Sarwar Alam said, ‘Immigration activities are 100% ready from the side of Bangladesh. The Prime Minister inaugurated the Ramgarh International Passenger Terminal on November 14 last year. From India’s side, the Deputy High Commissioner of India has informed about the possibility of opening an ICP or Integrated Checkpost at Sabrum in Tripura, India on March 9.

Sarwar Alam also said, ‘From now on passengers will get the opportunity to travel through Maitri Setu. Besides, all the infrastructure construction work of the port is going on. All facilities including transport will be available only after the construction is completed.
