Parliamentary election ballot printing has started

The Election Commission (EC) has said that the work of printing the ballot papers for the upcoming 12th National Parliament elections has started. EC Additional Secretary Ashok Kumar Debnath said that printed ballots will be sent to the returning officer from December 25.

Ashok Kumar said in response to the questions of reporters at the election building on Tuesday, “The work of printing the ballot paper is already underway.” The process of printing has started in the three government presses that we have. And what you were saying about the printing of ballots, in all constituencies where cases are pending, printing will be done later. We want to finish printing Battle by December 31.’

EC Additional Secretary said that there are cases in more than 40 seats. As a result, the ballots for these seats will be printed at the end.

On November 15, the election commission announced the schedule of the 12th national parliament election. According to the schedule, the vote will be held on January 7.

There are no 15 parties including BNP in this election. 29 parties including Awami League-National Party are participating in the elections. After the verification of the EC, the number of valid candidates in the election is 1 thousand 894. There is an opportunity to increase or decrease this number according to the order of the court.
