In Madaripur, one independent candidate and two Awami League boat symbol candidates were declared the winners privately by the Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer Md. Marufur Rashid Khan. He made this announcement in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner on Sunday night.

Rashid Khan of Marufur said during the announcement, Noore-e-Alam Chowdhury was elected privately in Madaripur 1 seat consisting of Shibchar upazila with the boat symbol of Awami League. He got 1 lakh 96 thousand 731 votes. Motahar Hossain Siddiqui got 1 thousand 826 votes with the plow symbol of Jatiya Party, his nearest rival.
Apart from this, Awami League’s boat symbol candidate Shajahan Khan has been elected privately in Madaripur 2 Constituency which consists of part of Rajair and Madaripur Sadar. He got 2 lakh 23 thousand 5 hundred 18 votes. AKM Nuruzzaman got 3 thousand 4 hundred 15 votes with the plow symbol of his nearest rival Jatiya Party.
On the other hand, in Madaripur-3 Constituency consisting of Kalkini, Dasar and Sadar upazilas, independent candidate Mosa with eagle symbol. Tahmina Begum was elected privately. He got 96 thousand 633 votes. Abdus Sobhan Mia (Rose) with Awami League’s boat symbol got 61 thousand 971 votes.
