OnePlus has taken new steps to ensure the safety of users’ data and device protection. As part of the move, the company signed an agreement with the App Defense Alliance (ADA). This information has been revealed in a report by the technology website Gizmochina.

Google, Eset, Lookout and Zimperium formed the App Defense Alliance in November 2019. The initiative to form the alliance was taken to emphasize the security of the Google Play Store. The App Defense Alliance scans an app before it’s published on the Store. According to the technicians, advanced technology is used to ensure protection from malicious apps entering users’ devices.

OnePlus has been prioritizing security for users since the beginning. The company’s last marketed device OnePlus 12 uses OxygenOS 14. It has important security features like Device Security Engine 3.0, Strong Box, Auto Pixelate and Photo Permission Management, sources said. In addition, OnePlus’s Intelligent Shield program is effective in detecting harmful and malicious apps.

Kinder Liu, the head of OnePlus, said that it is very important to ensure the protection of users’ information. By joining the ADA, the company will work to keep apps safe from various online risks.
