Barrister Mizan Saeed, an independent candidate, has submitted his nomination for the Cox’s Bazar-3 (Sadar-Ramu-Idgaon) constituency and has been left out of the scrutiny.

District Returning Officer and District Commissioner Muhammad Shaheen Imran canceled the nomination of Barrister Mizan Saeed on Friday due to inconsistency in the signatures of the supporters on the nomination paper.

In this regard, Barrister Mizan Saeed said that there were many problems at the beginning of submitting the nomination papers. I will appeal to the Election Commission against this verdict.

It is to be noted that Barrister Mizan Saeed went to the High Court for not submitting nomination papers after the last date of submission of nomination papers was 30 November 4 pm. When the bench of Justice Naima Haider and Kazi Zeenat Haque wrote a writ, the court ordered to accept his nomination papers.

On the order of the High Court, the District Returning Officer accepted the nomination of Barrister Mizan Saeed as an independent candidate last Tuesday.
