Saudi Arabia has said that it will not establish diplomatic relations with Israel without a Palestinian state. This information was given in a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.
In the statement, the Saudi talks with the US on the Arab-Israeli peace process were reported.
It said, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirms that Saudi Arabia’s position on the Palestinian issue and the need for the legitimate rights of the fraternal Palestinian people has always been steadfast. Saudi Arabia has conveyed its firm position to the US administration. There will be no diplomatic relations with Israel until it recognizes an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital. At the same time, the Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip must be stopped and the occupying forces must be removed from the Gaza Strip.
On October 7 last year, Israel launched a surprise attack on the Palestinian independence organization Hamas. At least 1,200 Israelis were killed in that attack. Israeli forces then launched a counter-attack on Gaza, which continues to this day. According to the Ministry of Health of Gaza, about 27,500 Palestinians have been killed so far in the Israeli attack.
