BNP standing committee member claimed that the new government is not the people’s government. Abdul Moin Khan. He said that the 12th national parliament and the government were not elected by the people’s vote.

This BNP leader said these things at the blanket distribution ceremony on the occasion of Ziaur Rahman’s 89th birth anniversary at the press club on Friday morning.

Moin Khan said, ‘Awami League has suffered a moral defeat in the January 7 election. Awami League has come to power again without the support of the people.

He also claimed that the people are rejecting the government on the streets by marching with black flags. He said, ‘You are now seeing a black flag procession of a party (Liberal Democratic Party) on the streets. The people of Bangladesh have rejected this government on the streets. I congratulate these protesting people.’

This BNP leader said, ‘Bangladesh was created for democracy, Bangladesh was created for the economic liberation of the poor people of this country. Today, the government has built the Padma Bridge at a cost of 40 thousand crores, and has built the metro rail at a cost of 30 thousand crores. We have a small question – if you can spend 40,000, 30,000 crores of rupees, why can’t you give a blanket of one hundred rupees to the cold people of Bangladesh? Why do we have to stand here and distribute blankets?’
