Star of Dhaka Restaurant, the pioneer of the hotel business in Qatar, has been serving expatriate delicacies for four centuries. In continuation of this success, another branch has started its journey in a new way in Kolebor, opposite Okud petrol station in Doha Jadid area inhabited by expatriate Bangladeshis.
This branch of the restaurant was inaugurated on December 5.
In the presence of Bangladesh community leaders and a large number of expatriates, the restaurant was inaugurated by the chief guest of Bangladesh Ambassador to Qatar Md. Nazrul Islam.
The Dua Mahfil started with the guidance of Aminul Haque Kajol and the recitation of the Holy Quran by Hafez Abdullah. Hafez Maulana Yusuf Noor led the prayers.
The ambassador welcomed the hotel entrepreneur in his speech. He expressed hope that as a result of such initiatives of expatriates abroad, the positive image of Bangladesh in the global market will be reflected in the creation of employment, branding of local food.
Also present among the guests were Bangladesh Embassy Councilor Mohammad Mashhudul Kabir, Mobashwera Quadri, First Secretary Mehdi Hasan, Head of Embassy Mohammad Nasir Uddin, Advisor of Bangladesh Community Hero Freedom Fighter Umar Farooq Chowdhury, Safiqul Quader, S.M. Faridul Haque, members of the editorial board, Abu Raihan and Mohammad Enamuzzaman.
There is a seating arrangement for three hundred people together with a separate seating arrangement for women on top of the Dhaka restaurant. Kids zone has children play facilities. There are enough facilities to organize any big party, birthday, doa mahfil. Along with regular home delivery, they are also able to deliver food for outdoor banquets or large parties.
The largest branch has begun its journey to cater to the needs of the growing expatriate population. The entrepreneur hopes that this restaurant is able to meet the needs of a large number of expatriates in Doha Jadid area.
Entrepreneur Mahbub Alam urged the expatriates of Qatar to once again enjoy the taste of local food at the new branch of Dhaka Restaurant and organize various parties.
