Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan compared Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Adolf Hitler, the leader of the Jewish state. Condemning the Turkish president’s comments, Netanyahu accused him of ‘killing the Kurds’.

Netanyahu condemned this in a post on social media X handle (formerly Twitter).

Earlier, the Qatar-based media Al-Jazeera reported that the President of Turkey commented that “Netanyahu is no different than Hitler” at an event in Ankara on Wednesday. At the same time, he said, ‘What Israel is doing in Gaza is exactly what the Nazis did to the Jews.’

In response, Benjamin Netanyahu x Handle said, ‘Erdogan, who perpetrates genocide against the Kurds, who holds world records for imprisoning journalists who oppose his regime, is the last person to preach morality to us.’

In his speech in Ankara, Erdogan criticized Western countries for supporting Israel in the ongoing attacks. He also said that Turkey is ready to shelter scientists and experts who are under threat of death because of their views or opinions on the ongoing conflict in Gaza.

Earlier, Erdogan called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu the “butcher of Gaza”. In a related comment made on November 30, Erdogan said, Benjamin Netanyahu has written the name of Gaza’s butcher in history by carrying out the worst and most brutal killings of the century in Gaza. His government’s statement says there is no hope for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza.
