According to the information in the affidavit filed before the 2014 National Assembly elections, Mojibur Rahman Nixon Chowdhury’s immovable property was 38 percent agricultural land and 7 and a half katha non-agricultural land. Within a decade of his election as a Member of Parliament, his business and immovable assets as well as the land holdings of his dependents increased manifold. At the end of 10 years, his agricultural land is 2 thousand 42 percent, about 54 percent than before. Apart from this, there is a flat in Dhaka in the name of Nixon Chowdhury’s wife. This information is known from the affidavit filed by Mojibur Rahman Nixon Chowdhury in the Election Commission.

Mojibur Rahman Nixon Chowdhury was elected Member of Parliament as an independent candidate from Faridpur-4 Constituency in 2014. Then in 2018, he was again elected as a Member of Parliament as an independent candidate. In the 12th National Assembly elections, he is also an independent candidate of Faridpur-4 which consists of Bhanga-Sadarpur-Charbhadrasan upazila.

Mojibur Rahman Chowdhury Nixon is the son of late Elias Ahmed Chowdhury and Feroza Begum of Chardattapara of Shibchar Upazila of Madaripur District. He passed SSC from Rajbari Government High School in 1993. In the affidavit submitted before the 12th National Assembly elections, Mojibur Rahman Nixon Chowdhury has mentioned the information of three organizations namely Transport and Construction Sector, Petrol Pump and Filling Station, N Dairy Farm, N Duck Farm and N Fisheries as his profession.

According to the affidavit, at that time MP Nixon’s credit card liability was 2 lakh 8 thousand 408 taka. In 10 years, 9 acres 75.28 percent of agricultural land worth 3 crore 27 lakh 80 thousand 910 taka in Bhangar Brahmanpara, 5 acres 10 percent agricultural land worth 1 crore 73 lakh 68 thousand taka in the same area, 17 lakh 59 thousand taka in the same area have been added to the list of his immovable property. 30 percent agricultural land in the same area, 2 acres 34 percent agricultural land worth 1 crore 4 lakh 93 thousand taka, 2 acres 90 percent agricultural land worth 1 crore 3 lakh 9 thousand taka. Apart from this, 3.28 percent of agricultural land worth 1 lakh 83 thousand is in Savar’s wife’s name.

Nixon Chowdhury mentioned in the affidavit that he has a plot of 5 katha worth Tk 15 lakh 58 thousand in the Shivchar housing project. Apart from this, a plot of 7 and a half katha received by inheritance and Heba Sutra in Purbachal of Rajuk, a flat and land received by Heba Sutra in Banani, Dhaka, a two-storey house worth Tk 54 lakh 50 thousand in Brahmanpara of Bhangar, office room, meeting room, pond Ghatla worth Tk 34 lakh 52 thousand and others. have property.

The affidavit also mentions that Nixon Chowdhury has a flat worth Tk 40 lakh in the name of his wife in Dhaka Property Limited, a flat of Tk 1 crore 75 lakh in the name of his wife in Gulshan and another flat worth Tk 1 crore 47 lakh in the name of his wife in Gulshan.

In 2013, Mojibur Rahman Nixon Chowdhury’s annual income in the agricultural sector was Tk 2 crore 5 lakh. Income from business was 12 lakh 80 thousand taka. 2 crore 1 lakh 69 thousand 493 were in share, savings paper and bank deposit sector. At that time his profession was transport, petrol pump and construction.

Despite the increase in agricultural land in 10 years, MP Nixon’s annual income in the agricultural sector has decreased to 850,000 taka in 2023. However, in the transport bus sector, his income is 11 lakh 50 thousand as director of Neela Paribahan Limited, 60 thousand taka from Rita Construction, 7 lakh 70 thousand 850 taka from Swadhin Bangla Filling Station and Servicing, 76 lakh from Ndairy Farm, Ndak Farm and N Fisheries. 18 thousand 885 Taka.

Nixon Chowdhury’s dependents’ income from mast packaging is Tk 21 lakh and Ittefaq Publication’s income is Tk 4 lakh. Apart from this, his income from bank profit is 9 thousand 907 taka and the amount of bank profit of dependents is 15 lakh 17 thousand 958 taka. As a Member of Parliament, his income is Tk 23 lakh 38 thousand 185 due to remuneration and other things. Income from stock business is 19 lakh 50 thousand and his daughter’s income in this sector is 4 lakh 15 thousand. Income of his dependents from flat sale and apartment rent is 16 lakh 81 thousand 472 taka.

This property listing includes details of a Jeep vehicle worth Tk 55 lakh in 2018. This time MP Nixon owns a jeep worth 91 lakh 15 thousand taka. Apart from this, a piano worth Tk 4 lakh 20 thousand has been added to the list of movable assets along with other assets.

It can be seen from the affidavit of Member of Parliament Mujibur Rahman submitted to the Election Commission, cash money is 38 lakh 30 thousand 600, 1 crore 52 lakh 85 thousand 600 in the name of his wife; Bank deposit 7 lakh 45 thousand 259 taka, 7 lakh 23 thousand 191 thousand in the name of wife. Gold ornaments have 30 tolas, wife has 50 tolas.

He said in the affidavit that there were three criminal cases against MP Nixon in the name of MP Nixon for various offenses including Public Safety Act.
