Motorcycle movement has been stopped since last night

The Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) has imposed a ban on vehicular movement on the day of the 12th National Assembly election on January 7. BRTA informed about this ban through a notification.

According to the notification, taxicabs, pickups, microbuses and trucks will not be able to ply from January 6 at 12 pm to January 7 at 12 pm.

Along with this, a ban has been imposed on the movement of motorcycles from 12 midnight on January 5 to 12 midnight on January 8. However, law and order forces, administration, emergency teams and vehicles engaged in emergency services will remain exempt.

Earlier on Tuesday, the senior secretary of the public security department of the Ministry of Home Affairs. Mostafizur Rahman said that there will be no ban on private cars, CNG-powered auto-rickshaws and public transport on polling day.
