Mild cold has been going on for three consecutive days with dense fog in Panchagarh. A minimum temperature of 9.4 degrees Celsius was recorded on Saturday. Since then the minimum temperature has been fluctuating between 9 and 10.

Russell Shah, officer-in-charge of Tentulia Meteorological Office, said that the minimum temperature of 9.7 degrees Celsius was recorded at 9 am on Monday.

From Saturday onwards, fog starts every day after evening. The area is covered in fog till the next morning.

But after 9 o’clock in the morning, when the sun shines, relief returns to public life. In the Konkan, the winter has caused great suffering among the miserable and starving people. Especially, the suffering of low income people has increased due to morning work, agricultural workers, tea workers, day laborers.

Mizanur Rahman, a farmer in Shingpara area of ​​Upazila Sadar, said that dew fell like raindrops throughout the night. Konkan was cold till 8 am. Hands and feet become cold as ice. While going to work in the morning, the arms and legs were getting paralyzed.
