Microsoft is working on the next generation Windows version. It may be named Windows 12 or Windows 11 2024 Update. This information has been revealed in a report of the technical site Gizchina.
Market analysts expected that Microsoft might bring the next version as Windows 12. However, according to several reports, Microsoft plans to stick with Windows 11 this time.
The upcoming version is named after the Germanium element. Previous versions were paired with cobalt and nickel. The 2024 update (24H2) of Windows 11 using the Germanium platform is expected to be named Hudson Valley.
Windows Update will bring major changes to the operating system besides focusing on artificial intelligence (AI). Early versions of Hudson Valley are currently being tested on the Windows Insider Canary channel. Its RTM version is likely to be released in April 2024. Hudson Valley’s primary goal is to deliver new user experiences through AI.
