The organization of media workers has organized a grand ceremony on Victory Day to highlight the true history of the country’s independence, liberation war and victory to the new generation of Bangladeshi origin in France. The event will begin on Saturday, December 16 at 4 pm at the Battala restaurant in Cathsima, a suburb of Paris.
Various events will include the history of freeing the nation from the shackles of subjugation, special discussions about the Great Liberation War and Victory Day. Children’s drawing competition, children’s speech competition about Bangladesh and Victory Day, distribution of prizes and finally there will be interesting cultural program.
Abu Tahir, chief journalist of the organization, said in the preparatory meeting, “The new generation of Bangladeshi origin in France has forgotten the country’s history, traditions, independence and the true history of the liberation war. A large part of them do not show any interest in speaking Bengali language, let alone knowing these things. Our arrangement is to continue the practice of Bangladesh and Bengali language among them.
