Malaysia has banned the entry of ships of the Israeli GIM company to protest the massacre and brutality of Israel against the Palestinians in Gaza. This information was given in a statement released by the office of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on Wednesday.
The statement said that Israel is committing genocide and brutality against Palestinians.
The Malaysian government also said it would not allow Israeli-flagged ships to dock in its ports. Also, the ban will be imposed on ships bound for Israel after loading cargo from Malaysian ports. Malaysia also said that these sanctions will be effective immediately.
On October 7, the Palestinian independence armed group Hamas attacked Israel, killing 1,200 people and taking 240 hostages. Since then, Israeli forces have continued to attack the Gaza Strip. Israel has faced international criticism for the death toll from indiscriminate aerial and artillery bombardment. Palestinian health authorities in Gaza said that more than 20,000 people have been killed by Israel’s attacks so far.
