Bollywood model-actress Poonam Pandey has been in discussion for a few days after spreading rumors of her death. On Friday (February 2), there was an uproar when he posted on social media that he had died. But it was fake. The actress said in a video message the next day that she is alive. Many Indian stars and film organizations have already expressed their anger in this case. This time Punam was served a legal notice by Calcutta social activist Amit Roy for using a deadly disease like uterine cancer as a cheap publicity tactic.
Poonam Pandey has been served notice through Calcutta High Court lawyer Sion Sachin Bose. A copy of this notice has also been sent to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kolkata. Social activist Amit said in the local media, “Poonam Pandey must apologize, otherwise I will file a public interest case against him.” The notice was given to Poonam Pandey through Calcutta High Court lawyer Sion Sachin Bose. Amit Roy is upset with Poonam Pandey’s actions. He commented, ‘The sentiments of the fans are being played with. Poonam Pandey tried to get cheap publicity. That is why we have taken legal action. If he doesn’t apologize publicly, I will file a public interest litigation in the coming days.”
For being involved in this incident, the finger of allegation has been pointed towards Poonam’s public relations team. However, at the last minute, an organization named ‘Scbang’ came into discussion. They have already apologized with a statement.
Meanwhile, in a video message claiming innocence of the PR team, Poonam said, ‘My PR is not involved in this. My mother had cancer. Then he became very ill. I am very happy with what I have read and seen about cervical cancer till yesterday. I know what we went through, everything turned upside down.’
He added, ‘I knew I was going to hear a lot of abuse. Close friends are also angry with me. I feel terrible.’ Poonam also said, ‘I know it’s not a joke, at least my message got through.’
