Police have arrested 7 robbers in the robbery of two gold shops after killing the night watchman at Chaprashirhat of Kabirhat Upazila of Noakhali. At this time, 60 loads of gold, 160 loads of silver, 3 lakh 50 thousand taka of gold sales were recovered. Besides, a country-made pipe gun, two round cartridges, a gas cylinder and a pipe were recovered.

Shahadat Hossain (32), Md. of Muslim village. Soleman’s son Saddam Hossain Jitu (30), Salauddin (32) son of Oli Ulya of Karimpur of Begumganj upazila and Md of Jaindpur village of Kabirhat upazila. According to the police, a group of 10-15 robbers entered the Chaprashirhat West Bazaar around the early hours of last Friday. They took hostages including night watchmen at gunpoint. At that time, Shahidullah, the night watchman, was hit on the head when he interrupted. He died on the spot. In the case of murder and robbery, the victim filed a case at Kabirhat police station as a businessman.
Based on a tip-off, the police learned that Noman, the pickup driver carrying the robbers, was trying to sell the looted goods at Kamalnagar in Lakshmipur. Later, police arrested Noman from Munsirhat area of Kamalnagar police station on Sunday.
According to the information given by Noman, he is a well-known gold trader in the area. Gave goods to Sujan to sell. Police detained Sujan at his house to recover the goods. Later on interrogation, Sujan admitted to receiving and helping to sell the looted goods.
Sujan said that the looted gold ornaments were sold to Krinch Kamal, a gold merchant of Charalrance Bazar of Kamalnagar police station. At that time, 60 gold ornaments were recovered from his custody and 160 silver ornaments were recovered from Sujan.
