BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has returned home from the hospital after nearly 5 months of treatment. He returned to Feroza, his Gulshan residence, from Evercare Hospital in the capital after 5 pm on Thursday.
On August 9 last year, Khaleda Zia was admitted to Evercare Hospital due to illness. The 78-year-old former prime minister is suffering from various diseases including arthritis, heart disease, lung, liver, kidney and diabetes.
Since then he was undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital.
Earlier, on Wednesday, Khaleda Zia, who was under treatment for a long time at Evercare Hospital, was given permission to go home temporarily on the advice of the medical board.
BNP Chairperson’s personal physician and member of the Medical Board Professor AZM Zahid Hossain said at the time that this temporary decision was made on the advice of the Medical Board. All preparations for his treatment have been made under the medical board at Gulshan’s residence.
