Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal may be arrested on Thursday in the excise corruption case. This is what the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders of Delhi fear. Sources in the party said that the police blocked the road in front of Kejriwal’s house to arrest him. This information was reported in the report of Indian media NDTV.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED), a financial investigation agency, summoned Kejriwal for the third time for questioning in the excise corruption case. But he denied it.
Several AAP party leaders said on Wednesday that the ED may search Kejriwal’s house on Thursday morning.
Senior AAP leader Atishi said on social media X that there are reports that ED will search Kejriwal’s house tomorrow morning. You can be arrested. The center has planned to arrest. The same arrangement is being made.
The ED has already arrested former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and AAP MP Sanjay Singh in the excise corruption case. Another minister Rajkumar Anand’s house was searched.
