Kabir Suman, a famous singer of two Bengals, is under treatment in the hospital. Although the situation has improved a little now, his crisis is still not over. In this situation, the seventy-five-year-old ‘young’ musician was serious about eating a chicken sandwich in the hospital bed. West Bengal media Anandabazar reported that Calcutta Medical College authorities have granted permission to eat ‘Ganwala’s’ sandwich.
According to hospital sources, when Suman was given food at night, he did not want to eat anything other than a chicken sandwich. Then sandwiches were brought and fed to him.
It is known that Suman is suffering from various diseases related to obesity. He has lung complications. Several problems have been detected in the heart. His blood sugar is also uncontrolled. There are also problems with high blood pressure. The singer is still on oxygen support. A medical board consisting of cardiologists, pulmonologists and critical care unit (CCU) doctors has been constituted for the artist’s treatment.
Suman was admitted to the hospital around 3 pm on Monday (January 29). He is undergoing treatment in the super specialty block of Calcutta Medical College. At the time of hospitalization, the artist was overcome with multiple physical problems including chest infection, breathing problems. The doctors of medicine and cardiology department initially started treating him. The singer, songwriter and composer was reported to be in stable condition on Monday afternoon. The condition in which he was brought to the hospital is slightly improved.
Suman made a post on Facebook yesterday afternoon informing about the physical condition. He wrote, ‘I was admitted to Calcutta Medical College with breathing problems. get well soon Don’t worry.’
Incidentally, Kabir Suman is still flowing like a melody in the river of music. He is currently working on Bangla Khayal. A few days ago, he came to Bangladesh to conduct a workshop on this topic. At one time Suman was also involved in direct politics. He became a Member of Parliament from Jadavpur for Trinamool. Although later his distance with Trinamool increased. Later it is settled. After that, however, he did not run for any election. Suman now calls himself a ‘supporter’ of Trinamool leader Mamata Banerjee.
