His son Sajib Wazed Joy has been reappointed as the Prime Minister’s Information and Communication Technology Advisor. However, this appointment is unpaid. He will work according to the instructions and suggestions of the Prime Minister.
This information was informed today in a notification signed by the Director General (Administration) of the Prime Minister’s Office Md. Ahsan Kibria Siddiqui. Joy was the information and communication technology advisor to the Prime Minister during the previous government as well.
Sajib Wazed Joy resigned from the post of Information and Technology Advisor to the Prime Minister on November 29 before the 12th National Assembly elections. Earlier, other advisors of the Prime Minister also resigned.
The ruling party Awami League formed the government for the fourth consecutive time under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina after winning the national election on January 7. As an advisor to the Prime Minister, he was appointed again. Mosiur Rahman, Dr. Gauhar Rizvi, Dr. Tawfiq-e-Ilahi Chowdhury, Salman Fazlur Rahman, Kamal Abdul Nasser Chowdhury and Major General Tariq Ahmed Siddique. Last January 11 night, the cabinet department issued a notification in this regard. Today, a notification was issued appointing Sajeeb Wazed Joy as Advisor to the Prime Minister.
Sajib Wazed Joy has been serving as an unpaid information and communication technology advisor to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina since 2014. He has been playing a leading role in the development of information and technology in Bangladesh.
