Jaya and Farin were nominated for best in West Bengal

Jaya Ahsan is a popular actress of two Bengali. His two movies ‘Ardhangini’ and ‘Dasham Avatar’ were superhits last year in West Bengal, India. On the other hand, Bangladeshi actress Tasnia Farin has also made her debut in Tollywood. Both received Best Actress nominations at the ‘Cinema Samavarthan 2024’ awards in West Bengal. The award ceremony is going to be held on January 14 under the initiative of Film Journalist Association.

It is known that Tasnia Farin has been nominated in the Most Promising Female Actor category for her performance in the movie ‘Ro Ek Prithivi’ under the direction of Atanu Ghosh and Jaya Ahsan as the best supporting actress for the movie ‘Ardhangini’ directed by Kaushik Ganguly.

Along with Jaya, actress Mamata Shankar for the film ‘Paalan’, Ananya Sen for ‘Dilkhush’ and actress Anindita Bose for the film ‘Ro Ek Prithivi’ are also nominated. And Fareen will have to fight with ‘Dilkhush’ actress Aishwarya Sen.

Apart from this, ‘Mayar Janjal’, a joint production of Bangladesh and India, has been nominated for the best movie at the cinema festival. Opi Karim and Sohail Mondal of Bangladesh acted in it. The movie is produced by Jasim Uddin Ahmed along with Indranil Roychowdhury. Indranil Roychowdhury was nominated as the best director for this movie.

Incidentally, ‘Ardhangini’ starring Jaya Ahsan will be released in West Bengal cinemas in June 2023. It is directed by Kaushik Ganguly. In addition to Jaya, Churni Ganguly, Kaushik Sen and others acted in it.

Meanwhile, Fareen made her first foray into Tollywood with the film ‘Ro Ek Prithi’ directed by Atanu Ghosh. In it, she played the role of a young woman named ‘Pratiksha’. This is the story of the girl’s 11-year life journey. Waiting in the story to find one’s true identity, true refuge. Apart from Fareen, the movie also stars Kaushik Gangopadhyay, Saheb Bhattacharya and Anindita Basu.
