Jatiya Party candidate announced to withdraw from Gazipur-4 seat

Jatiya Party candidate Bir Muktijoddha Samsuddin Khan has announced his withdrawal from Gazipur-4 seat in the 12th National Assembly elections. He announced this in a press conference at Kapasia Upazila Press Club on Tuesday morning.

Jatiya Party’s plow symbol candidate Samsuddin Khan said, ‘I withdrew from the election due to my physical illness and financial reasons.’

Apart from this, he accused various threats in the campaign.

Samsuddin Khan submitted nomination papers as a Jatiya Party candidate in Kapasia area among the five parliamentary constituencies of Gazipur in the 12th National Assembly elections. Six candidates including Awami League candidate Simin Hossain Rimi, independent candidate Alam Ahmed are contesting in this seat.

Earlier, another Jatiya Party candidate, Advocate Sohrab Hossain, has announced his withdrawal from the election campaign on Monday, January 1. He is the candidate of plow symbol in Chuadanga-1 constituency and the district president of Jatiya Party.

On December 31, Jatiya Party candidate for two constituencies in Gazipur, MM Niaz Uddin announced his decision to withdraw from the election. Niaz Uddin became the candidate of plow symbol from Gazipur-1 (Kaliakoir and City part) and Gazipur-5 (Kaliganj and Sadar part) constituencies.
