Japan to send election observers: CEC

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal said that Japan will send observers to the 12th National Parliament election. The CEC said this while talking to reporters at the Election Commission (EC) building on Monday.

CEC Kazi Habibul Awal said that Japan is giving importance to elections. Japan will have 16 member observers in the election. 3 of them will come from Japan, the remaining 13 are working at the Japanese Embassy in Dhaka.

Kazi Habibul Awal said, there is no discomfort or relief about the election. An important group is not participating. It would be good to participate.

At that time, CEC said that those who want to resist the election, that is their political strategy.

On November 15, the election commission announced the schedule of the 12th national parliament election. According to the schedule, after allotment of symbols on Monday, candidates can campaign till January 5 at 8 am. And the voting will be on January 7. Observers from several countries including America, European Union will monitor the election.
