Qatar’s capital, Doha Plaza Inn Hotel, on Monday, the Foreign Minister of Bangladesh. Jalalabad Association of Qatar welcomed Abdul Momen. Borhan Uddin Sharif, chief advisor of the organization and convener of the organizing committee, presided over the reception.
Sirajul Islam Shaheen, the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Qatar spoke among others. Nazrul Islam, General Secretary of Sylhet District Sports Association, Mahi Uddin Salim, President of Jalalabad Association. Kapil Uddin, General Secretary Mahbubur Rahman Chowdhury, Organizing Committee Member Secretary Abu Taher Chowdhury, Advisors Syed Anna Mia, Enamuzzaman and Badrul Alam. Sylhet music was performed by Faiz Ahmed.

In the month of Victory, the speakers remembered Bangabandhu and the heroic martyrs with deep respect. He urged everyone to work unitedly on the issue of independence, sovereignty and development of the country, regardless of party-like-religion-caste, to make the image of the country bright and developed in the diaspora.
Apart from expressing gratitude to the Foreign Minister for his important contribution to the development of Sylhet, he also remembered his late elder brother, former Finance Minister Abul Mal Abdul Muhith.
