After five years of engagement, former New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern finally got married. She married her partner of a decade, Clark Gayford. The British media The Guardian reported this information in a report.
Jacinda’s spokesman said the wedding ceremony took place on Saturday at the Craggy Range. It is a popular wedding venue. A Craggy Range staff member said around 75 guests attended Jacinda’s wedding ceremony. Dance and music will continue till night.
Jacinda got engaged to 47-year-old Clarke in May 2019. The time of marriage was fixed in early 2022. But due to corona situation, he could not complete the wedding ceremony at that time. At that time, 100 people cannot gather together anywhere – such a law was made by the Jacinda government. Jacinda was forced to postpone the wedding ceremony at that time because of the law of her own making. The then Prime Minister Jacinda said, ‘Such is life. I am no different from other people in Uganda.’
43-year-old Jacinda Ardern served as Prime Minister of New Zealand from 2017 to 2023. Later, in January last year, he suddenly announced his resignation. Jacinda said, “Let’s get married now.”
After that speech, Jacinda actually got married. She became a global icon for women’s leadership during her tenure as Prime Minister. She attended a meeting of the United Nations with her little daughter and won praise from all over the world.
