The Iranian-backed Lebanese armed group Hezbollah has warned that Israel will be slapped in the face if Israeli forces continue to invade the Lebanese border. A top official of the organization gave such a warning on Friday.
Since October 7, the Israeli forces began to attack Gaza, tensions also spread along the Lebanese border. There have been almost daily clashes between Hezbollah and Israeli forces along the Lebanese-Israeli border. Hezbollah is one of the main supporters of Hamas, the ruling group in Gaza.
According to the report of the news agency AFP, more than 195 people were killed in the Israeli attack on the Lebanese village. 142 of them are Hezbollah fighters. On the other hand, 15 Israeli soldiers were killed in Hezbollah’s attack.
In such a situation, Hezbollah’s top official Naim Kassem said in a statement, “If Israel wants to spread aggression, the country will be slapped in the face.” Border stability is dependent on an end to the aggression in Gaza.’
Meanwhile, Israel destroyed three houses in southern Lebanon on Friday morning. Local news agency NNA reported that Israeli aircraft targeted four houses in the village of Kfar Qila. Three of them were completely destroyed.
Hasan Chite, daughter of the village, said, ‘There was no one in those houses at the time of the attack. About 100 people live in the village.
After this attack, Hezbollah said on Friday afternoon that three attacks were carried out targeting Israeli forces on the border.
Israeli army chief Harji Halevi said last Wednesday, “The possibility of war between Israel and Hezbollah in the coming days is much higher than in the past.”
On the same day, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres said, “A war between Israel and Hezbollah would be a complete disaster.”
