Israel claims to surround Khan Yunis of Gaza. The attack killed 65 Palestinians in the city. According to Gaza’s health ministry, another 210 Palestinians were killed in one day. Meanwhile, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres commented that nothing can justify the attack on the Palestinian people. Israel’s rejection of the two-state solution is a threat to world peace, he said.

Israel has been attacking the southern part of Gaza for quite some time. This time, the Israeli army claimed to surround Khan Yunis, the largest city in the region. They said they will advance to the rest of the city as well. Tel Aviv believes Hamas leaders are hiding in tunnels with hostages in the rest.

Israel has ordered the 90,000 residents of Khan Yunis and 425,000 displaced Palestinians to evacuate more than 4 square kilometers of the city. 24 UN shelters and three hospitals were thrown into disarray after the evacuation of so many people.

Meanwhile, Israel says it is still fighting Hamas fighters in northern Gaza. Tel Aviv has lost 219 troops so far in the ground operation.

The UN Security Council held a special meeting on the Gaza issue on Tuesday. At the meeting, Israel’s rejection of the two-state solution is a threat to world peace, the organization’s secretary general said. He also said that nothing can justify the attack on the Palestinian people.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said that a permanent solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is only possible through the establishment of two states. It is necessary to ensure the security of Israel and establish an independent and sovereign Palestinian state. Everything must be in accordance with the UN Charter, international law and previous agreements. And of course the Israeli occupation must end.

Diplomats of several countries called for an immediate humanitarian pause in the meeting. On the other hand, South Africa said that international law should be applied equally.

Meanwhile, Hamas rejected Israel’s offer of a two-month ceasefire. They also rejected the offer of senior leaders to leave Gaza and go safely to other countries. If the Israeli hostages are released, this Palestinian independence organization has given the condition that all the troops leave Gaza.

Iran has once again called upon Muslim countries to sever political and diplomatic ties with Israel.
