Secretary of Road Transport and Highways Department ABM Amin Ullah Noori said that special instructions will be given so that no lanterns or balloons disturb the movement of metro rail during the New Year celebration. He said this at a public hearing at DMTCL’s site office at Farmgate in the capital on Tuesday. He also said that to increase the income of Metrorail, advertisements will be done aesthetically like developed countries.

Metrorail was launched almost a year ago. DMTCL organized public hearing for the first time to improve service quality. People from various professions including teachers and students participated in the hearing. It offers several proposals including reduction in student fare.
