An employee of the Indian Embassy in Russia has been arrested on charges of spying for Pakistan. He was arrested by the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) in Uttar Pradesh from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India. This information was reported in the report of Indian media NDTV.
The arrested person’s name is Satendra Siwal. He was working as a multi-tasking staff in the Ministry of External Affairs of India.
According to the ATS in Uttar Pradesh, the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI was luring some officials of the Ministry of External Affairs to get information related to the Indian Army. And Satendra was the key figure in this espionage network. He is alleged to be using his surname to extract confidential documents. The accused, motivated by the greed of money, gave some information about the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of External Affairs and Indian military establishments to the ISI.
Etis said they interrogated Satendra after receiving the complaint. But at this time he could not give any satisfactory answer. Satendra has been working at the Indian Embassy in Moscow since 2021.
