The agreement was signed last year. That too at the top level. But the US administration was expected to balk at the sale of 31 MQ-9B drones to India over the assassination attempt on a Sikh leader. This news has also been published in several media. This time the US administration approved the sale of these drones by ending all the speculations.

According to the Indian media Hindustan Times, India signed an agreement to buy 31 MQ-9B drones from America for $3 billion. Recently, the US Congress gave the green signal to the agreement.

If these drones are available, India’s military power will increase further. India will be able to conduct a sharper surveillance in the deep sea from the Chinese border. If necessary, the enemy can be seized without fear of loss of life.

It is known that General Atomics, the manufacturer of the MQ-9B drone, has been informed about this clearance. The US Congress will also issue a notification in this regard within 24 hours. The drone maker has informed the Indian government about getting the clearance. Now only the official notification is released.

Last year, India and the US signed a deal to buy 31 armed MQ-9B drones. India will get 10 state-of-the-art drones in the first phase. But those drones won’t come with weapons. However, these drones will be capable of carrying weapons.

India will start getting armed drones from the second phase. Out of the 10 MQ-9B drones received in the first phase, 1 drone will be deployed in South India. Two drones will be deployed to monitor the Chinese border.
