Election Commissioner Anisur Rahman said, ‘This vote will not happen only if we say good. The outside world is watching us. They should also say it was a good vote. If the polls are not good, the future will not be very good.’

On the occasion of the twelfth national election, he made this comment in response to the questions of journalists after the special law and order meeting in Feni today.

The election commissioner said, ‘For the first time in the history of the country, the highest number of foreign observers are coming. We will actually give visa to those who come for observation without visa. Desi will have many observers and monitor the election.’

Anisur Rahman said, there is no domestic and foreign pressure on us. We will make a fair and beautiful election. If we don’t get good votes, our future will not be good.’

The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Commissioner of Feni Moshammat Shahina Akhtar, the contending candidates for three parliamentary seats, Superintendent of Police Zakir Hasan, BGB-4 Captain Rakibul Hasan, Regional Election Officer, District Election Officer Mohammad Karim and various levels of district administration and law enforcement officers were present in the meeting.
