Ferdous Ahmed, the popular hero of Dhakai cinema, showed surprise by participating in the national parliament elections. He was elected to Dhaka-10 constituency after receiving the nomination of Awami League. In this continuation, he took oath at the parliament building in Sher-e-Bangla city on Wednesday morning.

Speaking to the media after taking the oath, Ferdous said, ‘May I be able to repay the faith and trust the party and voters have placed in me. I will try to do it without interrupting any work.’
Ferdous also said, “I am grateful and thankful to the honorable Prime Minister for trusting me to give such a seat like Dhaka-10″. Thanks to all the people who voted for me. I took an oath today that I will protect the sanctity of the Parliament even with my life. And I will try to fulfill the vow that I have taken (to work for the service and welfare of people) with honesty. I will make Dhaka-10 literally ten to ten.”
At this time, Ferdous Ahmed expressed his gratitude to the Awami League leaders and workers of Dhaka-10 and especially to Barrister Tapos.
Incidentally, Ferdous Ahmed took part in the national parliament election for the first time. He fought in the Dhaka-10 seat on the boat symbol. 65 thousand 898 voted out of 3 lakh 24 thousand 939 voters. His closest rival is Haji Md. on the plow symbol of Jatiya Party. Shahjahan got 22 thousand 57 votes.
