A human chain was held in Jessore to protest the killing of Bangladesh Border Guard-BGB Sepoy Mohammad Raisuddin who was shot by the Indian Border Guard Force BSF and the continuous killings on the border. This human chain was held on the initiative of the Revolutionary Communist League of Bangladesh.

This program was celebrated in front of Press Club Jessore today at 11 am.

Speakers in the human chain said, ‘We want a friendly state. But we don’t want a master. There are constant killings on the border. Incidents of torture are also happening. Despite India’s repeated promises, these accidents are not stopping. Rather, it is gradually increasing.’

Speakers also said, “If the government does not protest against this killing, then we will be forced to go for a strict program.”

Taslimur Rahman, secretary of the district branch of the Revolutionary Communist League of Bangladesh, Zillur Rahman Vitu, member of the editorial board of the district committee, member Palash Biswas and others were present in the human chain.

Raisuddin, a BGB member, was injured in BSF firing while chasing cattle smugglers at the Benapole border in the early hours of January 22. He was later arrested and taken to a hospital in India. He died there.

After the incident, the flag meeting continued, but two days later, the BSF handed over Raisuddin’s body to the BGB.
