Over the past few years, wireless headphones or earbuds have been gaining popularity in the technology market. There are different ranges of earbuds available in the market for Android devices. However, Apple has few earbud models for iOS operating system and the price is also high. Many Android users prefer Apple’s earbuds because the price is high but the quality is good. Many people especially want to use Apple AirPods.
In 2016, Apple’s AirPods came to the market. All subsequent AirPods can be connected to Android devices. But not all functions of AirPods work on Android devices. If you remove the AirPods from your ears while listening to music or something on an Android device, the music will not stop automatically.
Also, the AirPods double-tap shortcut feature will not work. You can use your AirPods to talk and listen to other Bluetooth devices, but you can’t use the voice assistant Siri.
How to connect AirPods to Android devices
There are a few steps to follow to connect AirPods to Android or non-Apple devices. First, turn on Bluetooth on your non-Apple device. For this, go to the settings of the Android device, then go to the connection option and click on Bluetooth.
Open the lid of the AirPods charging case and press and hold the setup button on the back of the case for about five seconds or until the status light turns white. After that the AirPods will start showing up in your list of Bluetooth devices. Select Connect AirPods from here.
