A young man named Md Roman (30) died when he was hit by a police car while crossing the road in Demra Bangga Press area of ​​the capital. His sister Maryam Begum (25) was injured in this incident.

The accident happened on Thursday night. Later, Roman was brought to Dhaka Medical College Hospital with serious injuries at 11 pm. Roman died there at 2:30 a.m. while undergoing treatment.

Roman used to work in a packaging company in Kadamtali. Roman’s sister Mariam was also seriously injured in this incident. Both of them are children of deceased Jamal Uddin of Kadmatli, Dhaka.

Maryam Begum said, ‘About three months ago, I got married of my own choice without the permission of my family. I met my brother today after three months. We brothers and sisters cry with emotion after seeing each other after such a long time. Later, my brother told me what is the news of your family? Come on, go to the other side of the road and sit in the tea shop. I was crossing the road holding my brother’s hand. Suddenly, the speeding police car actually came, my brother pushed me away and got hit by the car himself.

Maryam lamented her brother’s death and said, ‘Oh brother, you don’t see what happened to my brother. Where did the doctor take him? This happened to my brother who went to save me. Brother, why did you do this?’

Dhaka Medical College Hospital police camp in-charge Md Bachchu Mia said, ‘The body is in the morgue of the emergency department of the hospital. The sister of the deceased youth is undergoing treatment. The matter has been reported to the concerned police station authorities.
