Pakistani cricketers are more talked about than their performances for their off-field work. From former cricketers to current players, they are always discussed and criticized on various issues outside the field. This time, Imad Wasim, who recently said goodbye to international cricket, has followed the path of former Pakistani star cricketers.

Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has returned to the limelight after six years of retirement from the national team. Not only in the national team, but also in the PSL, Afridi has made a comeback.
Inspired by the life of the former star of his country, Imad Wasim has expressed his desire to return to the national team after retirement.

Imad announced his retirement from international cricket on November 24, 2023. However, this all-rounder has expressed his desire to return to the national team within two months.

In a recent interview given to a local media, Imad expressed his desire to return to the national team, Cricket Pakistan said in a report. However, the left-arm spinning all-rounder wants some changes to return to the national team.

Imad does not want to return to the national team as a captain, he wants to return as a senior cricketer but his place in the team must be determined and his work must be explained to him. Imad also wants a clear understanding of everything.

In an interview given to a local sports website, Imad hinted at returning to the national team if certain circumstances change. This Pakistan all-rounder said, ‘It (return from retirement) cannot be said. But when I decided to retire, I took it 100% with a lot of thought and it was my decision in the end. But there is no telling when Pakistan needs me, then I have to do something.’

Imad does not want to return to the national team just to play. The Pakistani all-rounder is willing to take some responsibility outside the game, but not as a captain. As an important member of the team, he wants to give direction to the team.

Imad also said, ‘Look, I actually want to know about transparency. Not as a captain, but as a senior cricketer, let me be given the responsibility to take the team forward. I want Pakistan to play the right cricket with the right combination, with the right quality.’

With a hint of returning to the national team, Imad also said, ‘He makes a mistake in retiring, and he also makes a mistake in not retiring mentally. I am happy now, playing cricket all over the world, have played before. But hopefully something good will come soon.’
