At least seven people, including Aurouri, were killed in an Israeli attack in Beirut, Lebanon on Tuesday. Saleh al-Arouri was the deputy head of the Hamas Politburo. In addition, he was one of the founders of Al-Qassem Brigades, the military wing of Hamas. Saleh was born in 1966 in the occupied West Bank. He had been living in Lebanon for a long time after serving 15 years in an Israeli prison. Saleh was acting as a spokesman for Hamas after the war with occupying Israel began on October 7.
