The UN Security Council has met again on the Gaza issue. Al-Jazeera, a Qatar-based media outlet, said in a report that the ceasefire proposal will be voted on in this meeting on Friday. Earlier, Hamas launched 4 rocket attacks targeting the city of Sederat in the southern part of Israel.

Israeli authorities said two of the four Hamas rockets were intercepted and the other two hit outside the city. However, no one was injured.

According to the Ministry of Health of Palestine, 6 Palestinians were killed in the Israeli operation from Thursday night to Friday morning in the occupied West Bank. Several people were injured.

Israel barred Palestinians from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque on Friday. Israel claimed to have destroyed 450 Hamas targets and killed some leaders by attacking Khan Yunis by water, land and air. The Red Crescent reported that several Palestinians were killed in the airstrikes in Khan Younis.

A week after the end of the cease-fire in Gaza, the UN Security Council has again proposed a cease-fire. But America is not expected to vote. Israel has already opposed this proposal.

Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, Gilad Erdan, said, “We rejected this proposal.” In this regard, the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres said, ‘Why should the people of Gaza be punished because of the attacks of Hamas? It’s not right.’

Meanwhile, for the first time, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken severely criticized Israel’s role in the Gaza issue. On Thursday local time, he said, ‘The Israeli government’s stated goal of protecting civilians is still different from their behavior.’

Blinken made such comments while criticizing the Israeli forces’ recent treatment of civilians in southern Gaza, according to Reuters. Blinken made this comment at a press conference in Washington after a meeting with British Foreign Minister David Cameron on Thursday.

Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden spoke on the phone with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and King Abdullah of Jordan on Thursday. During the phone call, he emphasized ensuring the safety of civilians and separating civilians from Hamas.

According to the Ministry of Health of Gaza, more than 17,170 Palestinians have been killed and 46,000 injured in Israeli attacks since the start of the Hamas attack on October 7. And according to Israeli authorities, 1,200 people have been killed in Hamas attacks.
