Awami League General Secretary and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that the government will give priority to the implementation of the manifesto given on the occasion of the 12th National Parliament election. He said, the new government has many challenges.
Quader said these things on Saturday afternoon after paying respects at Bangabandhu’s tomb in Tungipara, Gopalganj.
Quader said, “The opposition is still looking to foreigners to overthrow the government, whether something like Cambodia can be done or not.”
Kader also said that Awami League wants and will deal with the opposition politically. He said, ‘There are many challenges in front of the new government. The government will give priority to the implementation of the election manifesto.
Quader also said that the government will do everything necessary for the sake of peace and order if the opposition wants to do violence.
Quader said, Sheikh Hasina does not care about any ban, any visa ban. The activities of Sheikh Sarkar will be conducted on the principle of ‘friendship with all, enmity with none’.
Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina along with the members of the new cabinet paid respects at the mausoleum of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj at around 11:55 am.
