From facilitating expatriate communication to connecting with the government’s 333 helpline; The world’s popular platform Imo has continued such social service work throughout the year. In recognition of this, Google awarded the company with the “Social Impact Award”.

According to the announcement, Google recently announced the names of the winners at an event organized in the Asia-Pacific region of Google (#Apsummit2023). Where EMO was given this Partner Recognition Award in the Social Impact category.
According to the press release, IMO is empowering users by connecting them across barriers of distance and borders. Besides, the brand is also working for the development of the society. Examples include the 333 helpline channel, the Imo Hero story short-film, support for the education of underprivileged children and various initiatives undertaken by Emo to serve people including flood relief. IMO also donated educational stationery to Jago Foundation to ensure quality education for all, which helps 1200 underprivileged children throughout the year. These social initiatives are having a positive impact on the lives of Bangladeshis living in the country and abroad.
The notification also mentioned that the “Social Impact Award” is a reflection of Emo’s unwavering commitment towards the development and welfare of the country and society.
