Gas supply has started normalizing in Chittagong

Gas situation has started normalizing in Chittagong’s Basabari and filling stations after supply started from Cox’s Bazar liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal.

Karnaphuli Gas Distribution Company Limited (KGDCL) said that 200 to 220 million cubic feet of gas has been received in Chittagong since Monday morning.

General Manager (Operation) of Karnaphuli Gas Distribution Company Limited. Aminur Rahman said that gas supply from LNG terminal is normal. 200 to 220 million cubic feet of gas is available since morning. There is no shortage of gas anywhere. Adequate supply of gas to customers.

Due to a technical fault at the LNG terminal, all types of gas supply in Chittagong region was completely stopped from last Thursday night. The suffering of citizens reached extremes as gas was cut off without notice.
