Muniz made the announcement to news.com.au before flying to South Africa for the Channel 10 show he admitted to struggling with “impostor syndrome” for years, deciding to turn his back on Hollywood to prioritize his mental health.

“Even though I’ve been around the world, I’ve never really felt like I fit into the world of Hollywood. I was nominated for Emmys and Golden Globes, and I was going to all these things, and I was there, and I was like, ‘How am I here?’ I said.”

“I hated LA, so I stayed in my own little world, in my own little bubble. Moving to Arizona, I did it on a whim and immediately realized I was looking up. I began to enjoy looking at the trees and birds in the sky. Going to the grocery store was fun. You don’t get that in LA. It’s a sad experience.”
