On the occasion of the 12th National Assembly elections, all types of launches and engine-powered boats will be closed in Chandpur naval boundary for 24 hours from 12 midnight on January 6 to 12 midnight on January 7. However, motorized small boats can be used for the movement of voters.

The matter was confirmed on Saturday night by Deputy Director of Maritime Safety and Traffic Management Department of Chandpurnadi Port. Bachir Ali Khan.

In this regard, BIWTA has published special naval notification regarding selection from Chandpur River Port Maritime Safety and Traffic Management Department.

According to the notification, the decision to stop the boat movement was taken in the separate memorandum of Bangladesh Election Commissioner Secretariat, Ministry of Shipping and Chandpur Deputy Commissioner and District Returning Officer.
