Baba Sabuj Sheikh has finally found the body of the girl Rishti Khatun (known as Abhishruti Shastri) who died in a fire incident at Bailey Road in the capital. His body was handed over to his family after all the formalities on Friday night.

Brishti used to work at the online news portal ‘The Report.Live’. On Friday morning, the chief reporter of The Report.Live, Golam Rabbani, identified the body of Barshti. He said that woman journalist was known as Abhishruti Shastri.

After that, a man named Sabuj Sheikh claimed that the journalist was his daughter. His name is Rain Khatun. Later, the controversy ended with the claim of Abhishruti alias Rain Khatoon’s father and NID’s fingerprints. Rain’s body was handed over to Baba Sabuj Sheikh.

Confirming the matter, Deputy Inspector of Police (SI) Abdul Jabbar, who is in charge of Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, said that after all formalities were completed on Friday night, Rain’s body was handed over to the family.

Earlier, father Sabuj Sheikh rushed to Dhaka from Khoksa Upazila of Kushtia on Friday afternoon on the news of his daughter’s death. He identified the identity of the girl after seeing the body. After that, there is a problem.

The Sabuj Sheikh and his relatives were showing his national identity card and demanding him to be a rain khatun. But some friends and colleagues of Rain alias Abhishruti were giving different information. Later, the woman journalist’s fingerprint was tested on Friday to confirm her identity. It can be seen that his name is Barshi Khatun in the national identity card. Father’s name is Sabuj Sheikh, and mother’s name is Beauty Begum.

According to the national identity card, the journalist’s home is in Bangram village of Khoksa upazila in Kushtia. Journalist Rain alias Abhishruti’s body was handed over to her parents as her identity was identified in this information.

A fire broke out at Green Cozy Cottage on Bailey Road in the capital last Thursday around 10 pm. 13 units of fire service brought the fire under control in about two hours. 46 people have died in this incident so far. 75 people were rescued alive.
