Fight in DU’s Madhur canteen, 4 BCL workers expelled

4 people have been temporarily expelled from the organization in connection with the fight between two groups in Madhur Canteen of Dhaka University (DU) over saluting the general secretary of Central Chhatra League Sheikh Wali Asif Inan. The ousted people are Bijay Ekatar of DHA, a BCL worker.

The expelled are Mashfiur Rahman, Firoz Alam Api, Abdullah Al Maruf and Nizhum Iftar. This information was informed in a press release of the Central Chhatra League on Tuesday afternoon.

Earlier today after noon there was a fight in Madhur canteen.

According to the press release, they were temporarily expelled from the Chhatra League for indulging in activities against the order and dignity of the organization.

Incidentally, after being ill for quite some time, Central Chhatra League general secretary Sheikh Wali Asif Inan came to Madhur canteen today and there was a fight between leaders and activists of Suryasen Hall and Vijay Ekatar Hall. Later the leaders and activists of Ekatar Hall beat the leaders and activists of Suryasen Hall with stumps and hockey sticks. Three people, including one seriously, were injured in the incident. Among them, a student named Kamrul Islam (23) has been admitted to ward number 200 of Dhaka Medical College (DMH) Hospital.

In charge of police camp of DMK Hospital. Bachchu Mia confirmed this. He said, ‘A student of Dhaka University got injured in a fight among themselves and was admitted to the hospital. The matter has been reported to the concerned police station.
