Iran has blamed Israel and the United States for the twin blasts near the tomb of top Iranian general Qassem Soleimani. Hundreds of people lost their lives in this explosion. This West Asian country has also termed this explosion as a ‘terrorist attack’. The explosions come amid the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza and the killing of a senior Hamas leader in Lebanon.

No one has yet claimed responsibility for the deadly attack. However, it is feared that the conflict in the Middle East may expand due to this attack.

Mohammad Jamshidi, the political deputy of Iran’s President Ibrahim Raisi, said on social media X, “Washington said – the United States and Israel had no role in the terrorist attack in Iran’s Kerman.” Really? The fox first smells his den.’

He also said, ‘This crime is the responsibility of the United States and the Zionist regime (Israel). Terrorism is only one of their tools.’

Earlier, the United States denied any rumors of Israel’s involvement in the attack. Israel also declined to comment.

US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said, ‘The United States is not involved in this incident in any way. We have no reason to believe that Israel is involved in these blasts.’

Regarding this attack, Israel’s army spokesman Daniel Hagari said, “We are focused on fighting Hamas.” Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei blamed the country’s “evil and criminal enemies” for the attack while vowing a “stern response”.

On Wednesday, a twin explosion occurred at a ceremony organized on the occasion of the fourth death anniversary of Qassem Soleimani, the former head of Quds Force, the branch of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). More than a hundred people were killed and more than two hundred people were injured.
